Meet Meike

We have a new addition to the family. Her name is Meike (pronounced mee-kah). She's a Dutch Shepherd and is very sweet.

So, without further adieu, meet Meike.

I'm not much of a dog person, but I think I like her. I know that first statement may be surprising to some of you, given my undying affection for my Rudy, but he was the exception to the rule. Rudy was not your typical dog, and we immediately bonded. Having Meike around has made me miss him even more, but I'm not holding that against her. Maybe some day she'll win me over like he did. Not just yet, though. She's still a pup and does pup-like things, so it will take time. I am impressed, however, at how gentle she is with Sophie, so I guess she can stick around.
